  • All those properties where the BBMP has approved the layouts for constructions are classified as A-Khata property. Regions in Bangalore where the BBMP has not approved / recognised layouts for construction are classified as B-Khata property. Properties in outer areas of city, like Electronic City, Sarjapur Road, Devanahalli; are still under the Talukas and are classified as Panchayat property.

  • Construction on a B-Khata / Panchayat property is essentially a non BBMP approved construction. Also, the Titles for B-Khata / Panchayat properties are not registered. Hence most of the nationalized banks will not allot any loan on such properties.

  • Depending upon your elgibility and the khata status of your land, you will eligible to get loan from either Nationalized Banks, Co-operative Banks or NBFCs (like CANFin, HDIL, India Bulls etc.)
